Genavava Diggins (GG) has a solid mix of professional experience and education that she brings to her role as an IRIS Consultant.
She has worked as a WRAP/CCS Care Coordinator and a CCS Support Specialist, demonstrating her commitment to helping others through community services. GG also has experience in youth sports coaching and coached 3rd and 4th-grade basketball and soccer!
GG has earned her ABA from Sanford-Brown College and her BBA from Bryant & Stratton College. Beyond that, she is CBRF certified and has taken the time to gain education in the following specialties: trauma-informed care, CPR, Fire Safety, Suicide Prevention, cultural competence, De-escalation, Mental health crisis management, and many more areas that benefit IRIS participants. Further, she recently became CPPS (Certified Parent Peer Support) certified!
GG wants to provide her participants with the comfort of knowing that she prides herself on the ability to listen with the goal of understanding, rather than just responding.
Outside of work, GG enjoys getting some much-needed sleep, spending time with her family, going to the movies, playing cards, dominoes, bowling, and playing darts. GG knows the importance of “Me time” and is able to balance that with her love of continuing personal development.
